Archived News: June 24th, 2014 - Jason was back in action with the Deery Brothers Summer Series on Tuesday evening at Marshalltown Speedway (Marshalltown, Iowa). A stout field of thirty-four entries registered for the $3,000-to-win program, and Jason started his outing with a fifth place finish in heat race action. Only the top three would transfer from the heat race into the main event, sending him to a b-main. In the b-main Rauen finished third to lock into the nineteenth starting spot on the feature grid. During the course of the 50 lap affair he advanced eight spot to an eleventh place finish at the checkered flag. Full results from the event are available at www.IMCA.com June 17th, 2014 - Jason Rauen entered a rare mid-week program at Farley Speedway (Farley, Iowa) on Tuesday night. Twenty-five Super Late Models entered the event, which was sanctioned by the UMP Summer Nationals tour. Struggles in heat race action left Rauen just short of locking into the 50 lap finale, forcing him to run the C-Main. Jason went on to win the C-Main, earning him the sixteenth starting spot for the main event. During the course of the feature, Rauen drove by eight other competitors en route to a solid eighth place finish in the final rundown. A convincing charge from eighth to finish third in his heat race earned Jason the outside pole for the feature, alongside Jerry King. In the main event Rauen raced his way to a solid runner-up finish behind race winner, Justin Kay. A talented field of thirty-two Super Late Model registered for the $5,000-to-win program, which was sanctioned by the UMP Summer Nationals tour. Via preliminary action Jason locked into the sixth starting spot on the grid for the 40 lap finale. In the feature he would battle the handle on his entry to a sixteenth place finish in the final rundown. The 16th Annual MASTERS weekend sanctioned by the UMP Summer Nationals was scheduled to wrap up on Saturday evening with a $10,000-to-win event.
