September 17th, 2016 - Running in the 13th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores, Jason Rauen made the trip to Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) on Thursday for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned weekend. Drawing 69 cars, Rauen started the night off with a heat race win putting him 16th on the starting rundown for the feature. Returning on Friday for another round of preliminary action, Rauen logged a 5th palce finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 6 into the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Jason fell back to a 13th place outing. Closing out the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals on Saturday night, Rauen grabbed the last transfer spot in the B-Main placing 6th. September 8th, 2016 - Battling in the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s General Stores, Jason Rauen visited Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) on Thursday night for the Deery Brother Summer Series sanctioned event. In a field of 33 Super Late Models, Rauen scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Joel Callahan securing his spot into the $2,000-to-win A-Main. Bringing home a Top 5 finish in the 30-lapper, Jason notched a 3rd place finish behind Jeff Aikey and Joel Callahan with Tyler Bruening and Joe Zrostlik rounding out the Top 5.
